MCA to hold Wilson Olivera Nite on October 18
Melvyn Rodrigues to receive ’MCA Kala Puraskar’
Wilson Olivera Nite, a Konkani musical extravaganza will be held on October 18 at 4.30 pm at Hotel Hilton, West Bay of the city.
This programme is organized by Mangalore Cultural Association (MCA), an associate organization of Cultural Centre under the aegis of the Embassy of India.
Singing sensations of Konkani ’Sangeeth Sardar’ Wilson Olivera, Zeena Pereira and Ashwin D’Costa will enthrall the audience with their melodious voices. They will be joined by the Konkani singers of Qatar like Clement Fernandes, GVOM Season-6 winner, Preema Pinto, Carol D’Souza, Rupert Lobo, Wilson Mendonca and Naveen Pinto.
The singing will be accompanied by rib-tickling comedy by Team Pinnacle from Kuwait. Dances will be presented by Doha Dancing Squad, under the ace choreography of Sean Fernandes. Music is provided by proficient, young, music director of Mangaluru Roshan D’Souza Angelore ably supported by Doha’s Singing Birds group.
Renowned Konkani poet Melvyn Rodrigues, winner of Sahitya Akademi Award will be conferred with the award ’MCA Kala Puraskar - 2019’ on the occasion.
The whole programme will be compered by talented Master of Ceremony (MC) Ronald Olivera.
Entry is free but with entry passes only. The passes are available with the members of the MCA committee.
